Tucked into private woods, 1860 is built for focus. No foot traffic, no noise bleed, no reason to watch the clock — just room to make something and the quiet to hear it clearly.

The live room

Where the tracking happens. A comfortable, flexible space designed around how sound actually moves — enough room for a full band to set up and play together, and treated to keep what you’re capturing honest. Bring the whole rhythm section or cut a single vocal; the room adapts to the session.

The control room

The nerve center — where takes get shaped and decisions get made. A tuned listening environment with the monitoring and outboard to mix with confidence, positioned so the artist and engineer stay on the same page from first take to final bounce.

The grounds

Part of what makes recording here different is what’s outside the room. Quiet, private woods mean space to step away, reset between takes, and come back with fresh ears — the kind of seclusion that’s hard to find and easy to get used to.
